Product Description
Avignon Early Blue' lavender is one of the smallest varieties of English lavender we carry at the nursery. Topping out around one foot tall and wide, this variety is also one of the earlier bloomers, sending up short fragrant dark purple spikes in late spring and into the summer. 'Avignon Early Blue' has a low, rounded profile, and benefits from a light trim in late winter or early spring to maintain its dense shape. As are most lavenders, this one thrives in full sun, is drought tolerant once established, and does not appeal to deer. Plant 'Avignon Early Blue' in borders near the patio or in hanging baskets so that humans can catch the heady fragrance. Bees, hummingbirds and butterflies will also enjoy the blooms.
