'Silver Mist' shore juniper may change one's mind, with its stiff, silver-striped needles creating a dense, blue-green ground cover that can spread up to 10 feet at maturity. New branch tips emerge a cinnamon brown, adding an interesting color contrast in the spring. Perfect for cascading over retaining walls or from year-round hanging baskets, 'Silver Mist' is drought tolerant and deer-resistant, and yes, it can serve well as erosion control on hillsides.
