Ipomoea ‘Bright Ideas Rusty Red’

Sweet potato vines are a much appreciated addition to hanging baskets and container planters, but some varieties, such as 'Marguerite,' can sometimes be a bit too vigorous, overtaking the flowers and other plants. 'Bright Ideas Rusty Red' is much more sedate, growing about a foot tall before trailing up to 24 inches. Perfect for containers where less is more, this variety will add unique color and texture. This one can handle full sun if watered regularly, but may fare better with a bit of protection from late afternoon sun.
