Iberis sempervirens 'Mermaid Lavender'

Candytuft is a wonderful, sun-loving evergreen ground cover that usually produces masses of white flowers in the spring. 'Mermaid Lavender' is unique, with deep pink to lavender flowers that arrive later than other varieties and last all summer long. Pollinators love the fragrant flowers, but deer and rabbits tend to overlook it. It's great as a trailer in hanging baskets and container planters, and works equally well in sunny borders with well-draining soil. A light shearing after blooming will keep the foliage neat and tidy.
