Heuchera 'Rosewood'

Rosewood was named for the rose-like scent that emanates from the cut wood, but its value (leading to over-harvesting) lay in its rich deep brown and red colors. This Coral Bells lacks the fragrance but has all the coloring of rosewood, with large, glossy, lobed leaves in shades of burnt-umber and deep reds, that hold up well in full sun to dappled exposures. Add to container planters for a dramatic contrast to chartreuse or white companion plants, or place at the front of sunny borders. Hummingbirds and pollinators love the springtime flowers that provide 'Rosewood' with its own contrasting colors.
