Daylilies are so named because each individual bloom typically lasts just one day, although new blooms may appear on the same stalk (scape), thus extending the flowering period. 'Happy Returns' daylily is a repeat bloomer, meaning that it continues producing flowers throughout the summer. This is an easy-care perennial with low arching, strap-like leaves that appear each spring, then die down in the winter. It does well in mass plantings, in containers, and along borders, becoming drought tolerant once established.
