Helleborus 'Anna's Red'

Hellebores are a welcome addition to any garden where winter interest is needed or dare we say, craved? Some start blooming as early as November, but the Frostkiss™ series allegedly wait until February to make an appearance. We are happy to report that we've seen plentiful blooms on 'Anna's Red' in early January. It's true they may not open fully until much later, but even the little bit of deep red coloring against the textured silvery green leaves is much appreciated when the skies are dark and gray.

Be sure to place hellebores where they will get some morning sun or all-day filtered sun, to encourage flower formation. If planted in containers or hanging baskets, they can be relocated to a shadier spot when the weather heats up.
