It's a shame 'Giant Blacky' fuchsia is a tender perennial because the blooms are absolutely riveting with deep red sepals opening to reveal near-black centers. Planted by itself, this trailing fuchsia can fill a 12" hanging basket. Add to mixed planters and let it trail over the edges for dramatic color. Hummingbirds and pollinators will love the flowers, and they'll keep on coming right up until fall freeze. For gardeners who don't mind repetitive tasks, consider removing the spent blooms/seed pods to encourage even more flowers.
