Fittonia verschaffeltii 'Red Vein'

This Nerve Plant will add some color to the indoor garden with its red-veined leaves, growing four to six inches tall and about a foot wide. While they don't do well with soggy roots, fittonias prefer higher humidity and should barely dry out between waterings because of their shallow root systems. Nerve Plants (aka Mosaic Plants) do better with some indirect light though they will tolerate lower light exposures. If your plant seems to be leaning toward light sources, consider moving it to brighter, indirect exposures. Fittonias will cascade slowly over the edge of planters, so consider using it as a trailer.
