Exacum affine, or Persian Violet, is a biennial, growing foliage its first year of life, then blooming the second year, so it is often treated as an annual, even indoors. If given optimal conditions - temps between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit, lots of indirect light, at least 50% humidity, and regular watering , the foliage may continue after flowering. Considering how few plants bloom indoors and how attractive the shiny green foliage is, we think the Persian Violet is worth it.
