Eucalyptus pulverulenta ssp. 'Baby Blue'

With the last several summers heating up here in the Pacific NW, this eucalyptus stands a good chance of growing outdoors year-round, with the possibility of white flowers emerging in the fall and again in the spring. Commonly known as Florist Silver Dollar, 'Baby Blue' often takes its time settling in, but once it does, it tends to grow quickly, becoming a large shrub or small tree, 15 to 20 feet tall and about as wide. It takes well to pruning, so it can easily be tamed and maintained. Full sun and good drainage will keep 'Baby Blue' looking its best, and although considered evergreen, its foliage may suffer a bit in extreme cold. Considered fragrant by humans, deer find the smell repellent.
