Erysimum 'Winter Orchid'

The 'Winter' series of wallflowers were bred to be bigger both in plant and flower size. 'Winter Orchid' is even more captivating because the flowers emerge an orangey red color then morph into orchid purple hues. As long as they're deadheaded, wallflowers will bloom from mid-spring into the summer, and with that wonderful fragrance, they're terrific in sunny borders, container planters, or mass plantings. Allegedly deer-resistant, wallflowers are magnets for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Once the blooms are finished, give wallflowers a light trim in order to maintain their compact structure and tidy good looks throughout the winter.
