Twinspur is in the same family as snapdragons, and has similar blooms from late spring up until fall. Extreme heat may slow bloom production, but can bounce back in early fall.

This snapdragon look-alike will be a welcome addition to container planters, hanging baskets, and along sunny garden borders. Somewhat upright in character, 'Diascia trinity Sunset' will produce orange blooms from late spring up until freeze. Pollinators appreciate the flowers, and Twinspur will appreciate regular watering, a bit of fertilizer, and full sun. One caveat: in periods of extreme (90+) heat, Diascia may stop blooming, but it can be sheared back lightly to encourage reblooming once the heat wave is over.
