At first glance, 'Silver Streak' Flax Lily could be mistaken for a variegated iris, with broad, upright, green and white strapped leaves. Unlike irises or any true grasses, this evergreen specimen maintains it foliage year-round, unless subjected to extreme periods of cold. Tall slender stalks of small, blue flowers appear in the spring, and become purple berries in the summer. Planted in sunny borders or container planters, 'Silver Streak' adds color and textural interest to the garden.
