Product Description
Ice plants are often a surprise option to Pacific NW gardeners, as many people believe our winters are too cold for this evergreen succulent. Delosperma is in fact hardy down to -15 degrees, but what will take them out is soggy feet, so be sure to plant 'Wheels of Wonder Hot Pink' in well-draining soil. Yellow-eyed, hot pink daisy-like flowers bloom from late spring right up until frost on thick fleshy stems that can reach four to six inches tall and form dense mats up to 24 inches across. Combine with a mixture of succulents in sunny container planters or hanging baskets. Ice plants will provide bright flashes of color in xeriscapes, rock gardens, or sunny areas of the garden that get watered less frequently.
