Dahlia 'City Lights™'

The City Lights™ series of dahlias provide gardeners with a range of vibrantly colored, ball-shaped flowers from late spring well into the fall. Compact mounds of dark leaves act as a dramatic backdrop for yellow, orange, pink, purple or red blooms, and work well in sunny borders, container planters, or hanging baskets.
These dahlias are grown from seed, so by the end of summer, very small tubers will have formed on the roots. Determined gardeners may put the bundle of roots (without leaves) into a ziploc bag filled with peat moss or vermiculite, and store around 40°F to 50°F. After all danger of frost is past, replant the root bundle for another season of fabulous color. With luck, viable tubers will have formed, to be dug and saved for the next year.
