If allowed to grow to its normal size, 'Strieb's Findling' cotoneaster would top out between four and 10 inches in height and spread an amazing six to eight feet wide. White springtime flowers turn into red berries, standing out against dainty blue-green leaves from summer into the winter. In that context, this topiary ball is rather amazing, with great possibilities as a bonsai. Growing three to six inches per year, 'Strieb's Findling' cotoneaster will need periodic trimming and care to maintain the topiary shape, or to re-shape it into a different form, perhaps a cascade style bonsai?
