Product Description
Lily-of-the-Valley is well known for its fragrance and pert white bell-shaped flowers that bloom in the spring. Growing six to twelve inches tall, it can handle full to part shade, clay soils, and is considered deer- and rabbit-resistant. Given time, this perennial can form a dense mat of greenery that returns year after year. In certain parts of the U.S. (mostly northern Midwest and NE states), it's considered an invasive species, spreading "indefinitely" via underground rhizomes. If at all concerned about this shade-loving perennial taking over a bed, grow Lily-of-the-Valley in container planters where its fragrance can be enjoyed.
