The Down Town series of coleuses are literally late bloomers, so uniquely colored, serrated leaves stay looking their best throughout the growing season.

Product Description

When it comes to coleuses, pollinators and gardeners are often at odds with each other. Bees and hummingbirds seek out the narrow flower stalks while humans are quick to pinch them out to encourage more foliar growth. And frankly, 'Down Town Santa Monica ' is all about the unusual foliage. Narrow, serrated leaves are multi-colored in sometimes random patterns, forming compact mounds about 12 to 18 inches tall and wide. 'Santa Monica' leans towards the darker tones with splashes of light, and complements a variety of summer annuals. Tolerant of sun (with regular watering) and dappled shade, this variety is an excellent choice for container planters and hanging baskets.
