Hardy to about 20 degrees Fahrenheit, consider growing this self-fertile seedless orange in a container so it can be moved into warmer climes during the fall and winter.
Product Description
Product Description
This is the orange we typically see in the grocery store - sweet, seedless, easy to peel, and juicy. Determined gardeners can grow this in a large container so it can be moved indoors during the colder fall and winter days. A heated greenhouse is ideal but this orange tree will survive life indoors, although it may be preyed upon by spider mites or other indoor pests. Fragrant blooms emerge in the spring, with oranges ripening in the winter months, so patience is required!
Full disclosure: we're not sure what rootstock this Washington Navel was grown on. We are assuming at least a semi-dwarf rootstock, so expect a maximum size of eight to ten feet tall, and could be smaller if grown in a container.
