Not all garden mums are created equal, and 'Fairbanks Purple' is bred to withstand our colder winters and return in the following spring.
Product Description
Product Description
With all the different varieties of chrysanthemums available to the home gardener, it's sometimes confusing as to which of these will return year after year and which are treated as annuals. 'Fairbanks Purple' is in it for the long haul, hardy down to -30 degrees and returning each spring, to bloom in the fall. Mounds of green foliage can grow from 12 to 24 inches tall and wide when given lots of sun and regular water during the growing season. Be forewarned - only the tips of the petals are purple (and that may even be disputed) and blend into paler pink, with the eye a bright yellow.
