Case in point, 'Twisted Strawberry' celosia, aka Cockscomb, has a vibrant red flower in a shape resembling a brain or cockscomb, and when said plant is covered in blooms, it's irresistible. The plant stays under two feet tall with a spread of about a foot, so it adapts well to container planters or hanging baskets, as well as sunny garden borders.
