Named after the air force base in southern CA, 'Vandenberg' California Lilac excels as a hedge or as a specimen for dry landscaping. Tiny, crinkly green leaves form a dense, compact shrub, eventually spreading wider than it is tall. Smaller than some of its cousins, 'Vandenberg' California Lilac can grow three to five feet tall and four to six feet wide at maturity.
