Product Description
Those familiar with the ceanothus family of West Coast native evergreens often picture the large, drought-tolerant shrubs that have small, crinkly, dark-green leaves and masses of true blue flowers in the spring. 'Cool Blue' ceanothus is a younger cousin, if you will, with variegated cream-and-green leaves that will eventually form a three to four foot tall, and four to five foot wide shrub. Pale blue flowers emerge in the spring a bit later than other varieties of ceanothus, and pollinators love them. Drought-tolerant once established, 'Cool Blue' does well in coastal gardens, xeriscapes, and woodland gardens, in container planters, or in the ground as a border, specimen, or informal hedge.
