Canna 'Orange Chocolate'

Look no further than canna lilies for adding a tropical flair to the summer garden. Though flowers usually don't appear until mid- to late-summer, they make a grand entrance with their vibrant color, height, and size, usually continuing until fall freeze. 'Orange Chocolate' falls in the four-foot tall range, but its dark foliage and brilliant orange-hued flowers will pack just as much a punch as the taller varieties, especially in container planters and middle of the border. Full sun will result in the richest foliar color, though cannas will tolerant some shade. Clumps can reach over two feet in width at maturity. Deer tend to avoid cannas though pollinators and hummingbirds enjoy the flowers.
