'Melina Lights' is literally a late bloomer, dressing up the fall garden when all those show-off summer blooms have long faded. Upright stems bear countless bud blooms, attracting pollinators and gardeners alike. Small enough to do well in hanging baskets and container planters, big enough to draw the eye in garden borders, it needs little care once established. Place 'Melina Lights' where a pop of fall color is needed most, but give it as sunny a spot as possible. Somewhat upright in habit, this variety will form a mound about a foot tall and 12 to 18 inches wide at maturity. A light shearing in late winter to early spring will keep it tidy.
