Cabbage 'Osaka IQ White'

While fall gardeners gravitate toward pansies, violas, and garden mums for color, ornamental cabbages should not be overlooked! The 'Osaka IQ' series produces compact heads of wavy, colorful leaves, catching the eye with their texture and bold contrasting colors. 'Osaka IQ White' has a pure white, frilly center, surrounded by blue-green outer leaves. Hardy down to 10 degrees, it will dress up container planters, hanging baskets, and borders throughout the fall.
Ornamental cabbages are technically edible, but the flavor can be bitter and not pleasing to the palate. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop caterpillars, so watch for holes in leaves and treat accordingly.
