Product Description
Product Description
Angel's Trumpet is one of those show-off tropical shrubs that we in the Pacific NW wish would grow here from year to year, but alas, our winters are too chilly and wet. 'Betty Marshall' produces long white trumpet-shaped flowers with the petals flexing outwards, adding a distinctive touch to these beauties. The shrubs can grow six to ten feet tall and almost as wide, given enough sun and heat. Determined gardeners can winter brugmansias indoors or in heated greenhouses, but leaf drop and spider mites are often problematic. Between the large velvety foliage, beautiful fragrant flowers, and the sheer size of brugmansias, we consider them well worth growing, if only for the summer.
Footnote: though hummingbirds and moths love the flowers, the entire plant is unhealthy for pets or humans to chew on.
