That said, 'Purple Magic' has won awards due in part to its superior heat tolerance, yielding large, tight, purple-stemmed heads that stay sweet and flavorful. Some sources claim that this purple-headed variety is tastier and more tender than some green varieties, and with all that purple adding healthy anthocyanins, it's bound to be a winner!
