Bergenia Early Brilliance™ 'Magenta'

We often recommend using bergenia as a foundation plant for mixed year-round planters and hanging baskets because of the changing colors and texture they provide. Early Brilliance™ 'Magenta' has high-impact floral color in the spring, standing tall on sturdy stalks. Fresh green leaves grace the plant from spring into summer, but as temps cool and days shorten, the leaves turn a deep burgundy color, adding winter interest. The slick leaves are not necessarily a favorite of deer or rabbits, but pollinators seem to like the springtime flowers.
