Armeria pseudarmeria 'Dreamland'

Folks will sometimes pass on a plant because its flowers need to be deadheaded for prolonged blooming, but 'Dreamland' Thrift is totally worth it. Clumps of lance-shaped leaves last year-round, eventually reaching a foot in diameter. Pink, lollipop-like flowers start in the spring and keep going right up until fall freeze. Picking flowers for bouquets will only encourage more blooms, and pollinators will love you for it. This cheery evergreen can be used as a ground cover and does well in hot spots as well as in coastal gardens (thus the common name of Sea Thrift). 'Dreamland' is great in container planters and hanging baskets, providing flowers throughout the summer and textural interest, especially in the winter. The leaves may get a bit ratty looking from time to time - simply clean out the brown leaves and it's good to go.
