Product Description
Product Description
Sea Thrift or Sea Pinks are slow, easy-to-grow, evergreen perennials that form low mounds of grass-like foliage and send up pink, eye-catching flowers in the spring. 'Rubrifolia,' or Red Leaved Thrift, steps up the interest with purplish-red foliage that turns bronze in the fall. Though not practical as a large-scale ground cover, Sea Thrift can add color and textural interest to borders, container planters and hanging baskets. Well-suited to coastal conditions, it prefers full sun and less fertile, well-draining soil. Overly wet soil may cause the foliage to rot out from the middle, so good drainage is vital.
