We brought Ardisia into the nursery as an unusual yet highly attractive houseplant with glossy dark green leaves and clusters of red berries at the base. A well-lit room (no direct sun) will encourage the spring and summer blooms that eventually become more red berries. This evergreen shrub typically grows to four or five feet tall and wide, so given time and space, it could become a stunning indoor specimen. This plant is not pet-friendly, so please keep chewing pets away from the leaves and berries.
