Ajuga 'Cordial Canary'

Those familiar with Bugle Weed may picture the shiny, wide-leafed varieties but 'Cordial Canary' couldn't be more different. Similar in shape to its cousin, 'Chocolate Chip,' this variety has narrow, bright gold leaves, providing a wonderful pop of color for shady spots in the garden. Typically used as a ground cover, it can also serve as a trailer in hanging baskets and container planters. Purportedly not a favorite of deer, 'Cordial Canary' often rides out the winter with minimal damage, and its blue flower stalks attract hummingbirds, bees, and other pollinators in the spring and summer.
