Thin black stems contrast dramatically against the fresh green, airy foliage on fronds that spread horizontally in a circular pattern.
Product Description
Product Description
This Pacific NW native is a popular addition to shade gardens, with its airy green fronds atop black wiry stems. The Western maidenhair fern does well in shade gardens, but grows a bit faster if given morning sun or all-day dappled sun. Semi-evergreen in maritime Oregon, it may die down completely during freezing temps, but will emerge again in the spring. Lovely in container planters with shade-loving annuals, the Western maidenhair fern lends a light airy texture and works well as a filler.
