This slow-growing variety of Japanese maple was discovered by Jim Sharp, an Oregon nurseryman, in the 1980s, and is one of the smallest Japanese maples available.
Product Description
Product Description
For those who love the look of Japanese maples but lack garden space, 'Sharp's Pygmy' may be the ideal solution. Growing fewer than six inches per year, this variety has the characteristic palmate leaves, green in the spring and summer, then turning a red/orange in the fall. Dense growth eventually forms a rounded shrub if left unpruned.
