CloseThe Western Sword Fern is amazingly tough and withstands the mercurial weather of the Pacific NW with ease. Narrow lance-shaped leaflets run the length of sword-like fronds that remain green year-round. Eventually forming mounds that are two- to four-feet tall and wide, the Western Sword Fern is a majestic specimen in the ground or in containers. As is true of most ferns, this variety prefers shade, but will thrive even in filtered or morning sun.
