Aluminum Plant, or Watermelon Pilea, leaves are dark green like a watermelon rind, with splashes of silver between the veins. This attractive, compact house plant prefers a bit more humidity than others, so put it in a well-lighted bathroom or mist it periodically. It likes to dry out between waterings, however, so don't let it sit in water. If the stems seem to be getting too leggy, don't be afraid to pinch them back halfway.
