CloseIndoor gardeners often long for colors other than green, and honestly, many indoor environments aren't conducive to flowers or even variegation of leaves. If your living spaces have at least moderate amounts of light, 'McColley's Finale' philodendron may be the way to add plant color without needing flowers. This is a fast growing tropical upright plant with new leaves emerging a reddish-orange, then deepening to a bronze or cinnamon color before turning a lush, glossy green at maturity. This variety can grow 18 to 36 inches tall and wide, with varying colors of foliage at any one time. 'McColley's Finale' grows best with higher humidity, a well-lit room (or grow lights), and a thorough watering when the top soil is dry. Keep pets away from this philodendron, as it will cause gastric distress if ingested.
