The shiny, succulent-like leaves identify it as a peperomia, and the tear drop shaped leaves make it unique.

CloseIndoor gardeners may do a double-take on this 'Raindrop' Peperomia. Pointed rather than round fleshy leaves distinguish 'Raindrop' from its cousin, Peperomia obtusifolia, though it has the same growing needs - a well-lit room, good drainage, and a thorough watering only when the top inch of soil is dry. The clean green leaves grow into a compact mound, about a foot tall and wide at maturity. Combine with other houseplants in an indoor container for year-round enjoyment or let it grow outdoors in a shady location during the summer months. As is true of peperomia plants, 'Raindrop' is considered non-toxic to pets, though the plant will be worse for wear should a curious dog or cat decide to eat it.
