CloseIf you're looking for a bit of color in a houseplant, Red Log Plant or Peperomia Double Duty may be a good option. This compact, upright houseplant has red stems and green leaves with red undersides, providing a stark and beautiful contrast. This variety of peperomia is a bit different from other commonly grown varieties in that its leaves are covered with soft hairs and are almost succulent-like. Native to Bolivia, Red Log Plant loves a brightly lit room (south or west facing windows are best) and prefers a lower humidity level than many other houseplants. Like succulents, this peperomia likes it on the dry side, so water thoroughly only when the top inch of soil is dry. In fact, Red Log would be perfect planted with succulents in a container planter.
