A bit slower in growth than other grasses, 'Gold Bar' is ideal for container planters, adding dramatic height, color and texture. It's also a good candidate for sunny garden borders or as an informal hedge. Cut this perennial grass back in late winter/early spring to tidy it up before new growth emerges. 'Gold Bar' Maiden Grass does NOT produce viable seeds and spreads less than two feet wide.
