CloseWe often form ideas about where a plant will thrive, only to be surprised when a "new and improved" variety comes on the scene. Case in point, we would expect Emerald Goddess Lilyturf (technically named Love Potion No. 13) to prefer a nice dappled shade spot but does well in sunny locations and even becomes drought tolerant once established. Hardy down to -10 degrees, it maintains its good looks throughout winter, and will bloom more profusely in the sun. This variety is purportedly more resistant to crown rot as well, so we would expect it to handle a bit more wet than other varieties. Use Emerald Goddess Lilyturf as vertical and textural interest in container planters or along borders, with a maximum height of 18 to 24 inches and an eventual spread of 30 inches.
