CloseLewisia is native to the western parts of North America and thus is an excellent garden choice for the Pacific Northwest. It's a sun-lover and needs to dry out between waterings, so it does well in container planters and hanging baskets. The 'Constant' series of lewisia is so named because of the continual bright blooms from late spring right up until fall. Lewisia's rosette-like foliage lasts year round, and looks somewhat like hens and chicks. Planted with taller sedums and other succulents, lewisia will be a happy camper and will provide you with a full season of beautiful bright pink blooms.
