This Spanish lavender will send up its first round of pineapple shaped flowers in the spring, and with deadheading, may put out more blooms in the summer or fall.

CloseFor whatever reason, Spanish lavender seems to take a back seat to its English lavender cousins, yet its blooms are just as fragrant and are cuter than "regular" lavender spikes, and pollinators love them. 'Anouk' typically grows 12" - 18" tall, so this tree version probably won't get any taller, but it can certainly gain in the size of the topiary ball. Keep the spent flowers trimmed, and there may be a secondary flush of flowers in early summer or fall. If you choose to keep your topiary shape small, use the trimmings in potpourris or for flavoring beverages.
