Most Spanish lavender blooms resemble small purple pineapples, but 'Helmsdale' Spanish lavender's flowers look more like bunny ears, and are sure to attract people as well as hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. This variety has fragrant green foliage that grows a bit taller and wider than other Spanish lavenders, topping out around 30 inches tall and wide. Full sun and well-draining soil will keep this evergreen looking its best in borders, container planters or even as informal low hedges.
