Deep purple blooms contrast beautifully against the gray-green fragrant foliage. A more compact variety of English lavender.

Although commonly called English lavender, 'Hidcote' is technically from the Mediterranean area, thus thriving in full sun and dry soil (once established). Beautiful spikes of purple/blue flowers bloom heavily throughout the summer, attracting butterflies and humans alike. A light pruning early in the spring will help keep this lavender compact and tidy, and removing spent flowers will prolong blooms as well.
