Dark red, almost black foliage provides a dramatic foil for the cherry-red flowers that last all summer long.

Close'Center Stage Red' is an entirely appropriate name for this stunning dwarf crape myrtle, with dark, almost black foliage and cherry red flowers becoming the focal point of the summer garden. Unlike other crape myrtles, this variety tops out at six to 12 feet tall and eight feet wide, making it an excellent choice for smaller gardens. 'Center Stage Red' has improved disease resistance, but still fares best in full sun and with deep, infrequent watering. This deciduous shrub requires no pruning but if needed, do so sparingly in early spring.
NOTE: This specimen is available for delivery in the Portland Metro area or pickup only.
