Frilly leaves - deep green to purple surrounding a reddish-purple center - add color, texture, and drama to fall/winter baskets, borders, and container planters.

Close'Coral Queen' ornamental kale is basically dark where 'Coral Prince' is light, sort of a yin/yang juxtaposition. The center of 'Coral Queen' is an intense reddish purple with dark green to purple outer leaves while 'Coral Prince' has a white center surrounded by pale green leaves. Both tend to spread wider than they are tall, both have feathery/frilly leaves, and both are absolutely stunning in fall/winter hanging baskets, container planters, or garden borders. Pair 'Coral Queen' with dusty miller or santolina, creating a contrast in colors and textures. Add in evergreen trailers to complete the picture.
