CloseThere are so many different varieties of hoya, it's fun discovering yet another unique specimen. 'Black' wax plant has leaves that are decidedly smaller than most of its cousins, and given the optimum amount of light, will become almost black in color. Under lower amounts of light, leaves will exhibit shades of dark green and bronze to reddish hues. When this little guy does finally bloom, its white flowers may have a purplish cast as well. Grow 'Black' up on a support or let it trail from a container planter or hanging basket. Well-lit rooms will result in the best color, and deep but infrequent watering will keep this hoya happy.
